Student homes in the citycentre of Hagesund, Norway, have been awarded this years´ "Byggebransjeprisen" at ByggArena 2015.
The Jury´s motivation states: In the record of 7 months the Studentsamskipnaden Stord/Haugesund built 70 new small student apartments in the middle of the city center. These apartments are today the home of 91 students who can live in the center only 400 meters from the school.
"This is hopefully the beginning of a new urban vision bringing more life into the city center. This is a very good example of that," the jury states.
The student homes in Haugesund have been built with Stora Enso CLT by the construction industry company Woodcon.
